The heart of the AOS-V consists of a fast tunable filter based on our AOS monochromator in combination with chromatically corrected imaging optics. The device transmits a complete image while it is filtering it with the excellent filter characteristics of the AOS monochromator. The AOS-V achieves an excellent optical and spectral resolution at the same time. It can be used to acquire spatial and time resolved intensity distributions of optical emission from a selected specimen in any gas discharge.

The optical resolution is approximately 560 x 700 resolved pixels at a spectral resolution of 0.07 nm at 250 nm and 0.7 nm at 800 nm. The AOS-V is available for the UV range (250 - 800 nm). For integration in existing plasma facilities as well as other optical adaptions forther optical components and spectroscopy accessories is available.

AOS-Video is controlled by our AOS-Video-Software 2.0 PC/ Notebook by USB interface.

The software supports the following measuring modes:

» preview mode for the adjustment of image range and all plasma parameters
» imaging spectrum measurement
» imaging chronogram measurement for process monitoring of up to 32 wavelengths    (analysis mode)
» HF synchronization with plasma source
